graphic designer tries generative edit in @Affinity #affinity #madeinaffinity #canva
living in a time where i no longer have to spend an hour or more on a tedious background removal and replacement..
gone are the days of using magic wand, rough selections, feathering, cloning, and all the old Photoshop tricks we relied on for years..
today? this was my first time using the @affinity Generative Edit Tool, and it took me about a minute to get exactly what i needed which is simply insane 🤯
a client asked if it was possible to remove the solar panels in the background to bring more clarity to the foreground! normally this would be a nightmare.. especially as a last minute request 🥲
this is where i fully support AI in design, because for tasks like these, it is really useful 👍
if it can handle the mundane, time draining cleanup and do a better job than i could this quickly.. then it’s a yes from me 🙏
one tool, one prompt, and the job is done!
the more i explore Affinity the more excited i become! back in ~2012 when my design journey began, all i did was sit on Photoshop making gaming youtube banners as a young teenager
later on i fully moved over to Illustrator where more professional work began with branding and 2D design overall — so my Photoshop journey faded into the background 🤔
UNTIL NOW. it is so cool that @affinity has made it all accessible in one program, free, forever.. so i’m finally able to get back to exploring my creative workflows and expand my capabilities even further 😁
will be sharing new stuff soon.. tutorials will follow up as i learn new things too
