Canva PDF ALT Text: Not What You Think
Canva says it helps you make “accessible” PDFs… so I put it to the test.
I added ALT text in Canva’s Design Accessibility panel, exported the PDF, embedded it in WordPress, and then checked the code and a screen reader.
Result? That ALT text did NOT come through in the real world.
If you’re promising accessible PDFs to clients, you need to see this test before you rely on Canva alone.
